His dedication extended beyond his family, as he was an exceptionally generous person. Charley first gave blood on August 2, 1993, and over the years, he donated a remarkable 8.375 gallons, saving the lives of 201 people. In his final act of generosity, Charley donated his liver, both kidneys, and both corneas, giving the gift of life and sight to others.
An avid photographer, Charley had a passion for capturing the beauty of the world around him, with waterfalls and family moments being his favorite subjects. He was also an active member of his community, serving as a Boy Scout leader, soccer coach, and track coach. Charley was a proud member of the Masons and an honorary Rotarian, where he found camaraderie and purpose.
Charley is survived by his son, Matthew Haley, and his wife, Eeva Koski, of Gatineau, Quebec, Canada; his two daughters, Elizabeth Pane and her husband, Jamie, of Endicott, NY, and Colleen Haley Lawton and her husband, Charlie, of Virginia Beach, VA; and three beloved grandchildren, Auli and Eero Haley, and Ella Pane.
