Obituary

Charles C. Bradshaw, Jr. age 74, of RR 1 Box 296, Kingsley died Thursday, February 14, 2002 at Department Of Veterans Affairs Medical Center, Wilkes-Barre. He is survived by his wife the former Meryl Stewart. Born February 18, 1927 in Wilkes-Barre, PA. He was the son of the late Charles C. and Louisa Bradshaw. He served in the Army from 1945 to 1946 during World War II. He was a member of the Kingsley Community Church in Kingsley. He was a life member of the American Legion in Hallstead, the Elk Mountain VFW Post 8488 and the Cerra-Leo DAV Post 98 in Carbondale. He was a member of My Brothers Keepers. He was going to receive an award from the Department of Veteran Affairs Medical Center this May for 14 years of voluntary work. He was employed by Kaplans Meat Company in Olyphant for 18 years. He is survived by one daughter: Cheryl Rood of Binghamton, NY.; four sons: Terry Bradshaw of North Carolina, C. Clinton Bradshaw of Kingsley, PA., Michael W. Bradshaw of Austin, TX., and Matthew S. Bradshaw of Austin, TX.; one sister: Jane Thomas of Georgia; 4 Grandaughters; Nieces Nephews He was preceded in death by three brothers: Donald Bradshaw, Russell Bradshaw, and William Bradshaw. The funeral was held Sunday, February 17, 2002 at 2:00 p.m. in the Shifler-Parise Funeral Home, 102 Dundaff Street, Clifford with Rev. Alex Scott, Pastor of the Kingsley Community Church, officiating. Interment, South Harford Cemetery, Harford, PA. Viewing was held Saturday, February 16, 2002 from 5-8 p.m.
