Catherine J. Morrison, 63, of Kingsley,PA., died Friday morning, August 3, 2007 at the Green Ridge Health Care Center, Scranton, PA., after an illness. She was the wife of John W. Morrison.
Born July 31, 1944 in Philadelphia, PA., she was the daughter of the late Howard and Catherine (Deets) Woodward.
She was a graduate of Philadelphia Parochial schools and was employed for many years in the garment industry. She was a member of St. Pius X Church in Royal, PA., where she served as a CCD teacher and a Eucharistic minister.
She is survived by one daughter: Mary Morrison and fiance Patrick McIntyre; two grandsons: Joseph Jenkins and Patrick McIntyre all of Jessup, PA.; three brothers: Daniel Woodward of Philadelphia, PA., William Woodward of Delaware and Thomas Woodward of New Jersey; two sisters: Patricia Isabella of Media, PA. and Rose Rubbo of New Jersey.; Several Nieces Nephews.
She was preceded in death by one brother: Howard Woodward; one sister: Diana Dircks.
The funeral was held Monday, August 6, 2007 at 8:30 AM from the Shifler-Parise Funeral Home, Dundaff Main Streets, Clifford, PA., with a Mass of Christian Burial at 9:00 AM in St. Pius X Church, Route 106, Royal, celebrated by Monsignor Joseph G. Quinn, pastor. Interment, Willow View Cemetery, Clifford.
Friends called Sunday, August 5, 2007 from 5-8 PM.
Pallbearers: Thomas Gretzula, Patrick McIntyre, James Isabella, Frank Bresch, James Chips, Edward Dick and James Potocnak.
