Caroline N. Sekula, 60, of Carbondale, PA, died December 15, 2017 at Geisinger Community Medical Center, Scranton, PA. She is survived by her husband, Stephen F. Sekula. Born April 12, 1957 in Chicago, IL, daughter of Theresa Aleckna Mata of Scranton, PA, and the late Robert Burke. A health care worker for most of her life, she was totally devoted to caring for her husband the last years of her life. She loved flowers, outdoor yard care and cats. She was excellent at whatever she undertook. Caroline was a member of St. Veronica and B.V. M Queen of Peace parishes, Hawley, PA. She is also survived by three sisters: Cathleen Mata, Crissy Mata and Patricia Dickinson all of Scranton, PA; two brothers: Martin Mata of Waymart, PA and Theodore Burke of Florida.
