Carmine E. Armenti, 97, formerly of North Brunswick, NJ. and a resident of Clifford Township, PA. since 2005 died early Monday morning, February 11, 2013 at the Forest City Nursing Home, Forest City, PA.
Born July 7, 1915 in New Brunswick, NJ., he was the son of the late Antonio and Mary Sabina Armenti.
He was a former member of St. Mary of Mount Virgin Church, in New Brunswick, NJ. and was a retired electrician for I.B.E.W., Local 456 in North Brunswick, NJ. He was an army veteran of World War II and an avid golfer.
He was a devoted father, grandfather and great grandfather who cherished his family.
He is survived by one daughter: Pamela Shiffner and husband William, III. of Greenfield Township, PA.; two grandchildren: Stephanie and Alexandra Shiffner; one great granddaughter: Carmella Allegar; several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by five brothers: Daniel, Vittorio, Giorgio, Luigi and Domenico Armenti; three sisters: Vera Covino, Josephine Parillo and Jean Nicotra.
A Mass of Christian Burial was held Saturday, February 23, 2013 at 11:00 AM in Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, 15 Fallbrook Street, Carbondale, PA.
Cremation arrangements were entrusted to the Shifler-Parise Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Clifford, PA.
