Carlton W. Lewis, 74, of West Clifford, PA., died Saturday, March 18, 2006 at Orlando Regional South Seminole Hospital, Longwood, FL.
Born April 8, 1931 in Lenoxville, PA. He was the son of the late Waymond and Gertrude Marcy Lewis.
He was a member of the Elkdale Baptist Church, West Clifford. During World War II he was a civilian lookout. He was involved in the construction of MGM Studios at Disney World in Orlando, Florida. He loved ranching and played the galvanized tub with the Baker Street Praise Band along with Theron Lewis, George Belcher and the Silver Nail Family.
He is survived by Rebecca Strawn of California his wife of 27 years and mother of their four children; one son: George (Bill) William Lewis of Lake Elsinore, CA.; three daughters: Dorothy Sharon Lewis of Lake Elsinore, CA., Diamond (Lewis) Muganzo of Lake Mary, FL. and Norida Maxine (Lewis) Wright of McCalla, AL.; one brother: Theron Lewis of Binghamton, NY.; two sisters: Anna Jones of Uniondale, PA. and Beverly Sokolowsky of Factoryville, PA.; eight grandchildren: Libby (Lewis) Centeno, Melissa and Maria Muganzo, Richard and Charles Lewis all of California; Carl Adam Carlson of Florida; Jonathan and Christopher Wright both of Alabama; three great grandchildren: Natalie, Nicholas and Christopher Centeno all of California; Several Nieces and Nephews.
The funeral was held Thursday, March 23, 2006 at 1:00 PM from the Elkdale Baptist Church, Route 106, West Clifford, with the Rev. Frank Bissol, pastor officiating. Interment, West Lenox Cemetery, West Lenox, PA.
Friends called Thursday, March 26, 2006 from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the church. Pallbearers: Adam Carlson, Thomas Cramer, George Babcock, Paul Wright, Rev. Frank Bissol and George Lewis.
Funeral Arrangements were entrusted under the care of the Shifler-Parise Funeral Home, Dundaff and Main Streets, Clifford, PA.
