Obituary

Carl J. Prybicien, Sr., 75, of Simpson, PA, and formerly of 102 Farview Street, Carbondale, PA, died Wednesday, April 15, 2015 at home. He was the husband of the former Caroline "Carrie" Collins, who died on March 29, 2000. Born May 15, 1939 in Mayfield, PA, he was the son of the late Frank and Anna Laskowski Prybicien. He was a graduate of Mayfield High School and served in the Army Reserves. He retired from Glass Products in Carbondale and was an avid bowler, fisherman, Steelers and Yankees fan. He is survived by three children: Carla Bologansky and husband Stephen of Carbondale, PA, Carol Ann Prybicien of Simpson, PA and Carl Prybicien, Jr. of Moncks Corner, SC; four siblings: Victoria Karausky of Vandling, PA, Phyllis Gursky of Vestal, NY and Frank and Martin Prybicien, both of Mayfield, PA; 8 grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by five siblings: Veronica Jarusik, Theresa Trusky, Ann Louise Valentine, Patricia Doolittle and Thomas Prybicien. The funeral was held Monday, April 20, 2015 at 10:00 a.m. from the Carmine J. & Louis C. Parise Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., Farview and 41st Streets, Carbondale, with Rev. Arthur Davis, pastor of the Asbury United Methodist Church, officiating. Entombment, Our Mother of Sorrows Cemetery, Greenfield Township, PA. Pallbearers: Thomas Vandermark, Deandre Vandermark, Brian Mroczka, Patrick Huston, Stephen Bologansky, Sr. and Christopher Chapple.
