Carl E. Krzywiec, age 72, of North Huntingdon, PA. and formerly of Carbondale, PA., died Monday, May 19, 2008 at the Westmoreland Hospital at Jeannette, Jeannette, PA.
His wife of 47 years is the former Gloria Mussari.
Born November 30, 1935 in Eynon, PA., he was the son of the late Benjamin and Caroline (Krafchak) Krzywiec.
He was a member of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church in North Huntingdon and a former member of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church in Carbondale. He was a graduate of the Archbald High School and an Air Force veteran serving in the Korean War. Prior to retirement, he worked as a trainman for CP Rail in Binghamton, New York for 36 years and was a UTU member. He was a member of the VFW Post 7963 in Eynon, American Legion Post 86 in Susquehanna, PA. and a lifetime member of the Polish Citizens Progressive Club in Scranton, PA. He enjoyed gardening and was an avid Pittsburgh Steelers fan.
He is survived by one son: Carl C. wife Jeannie Krzywiec of Wilmerding, PA.; one granddaughter: Natalie Krzywiec of Wilmerding, PA.; one sister: Gertrude Krzywiec of Carbondale, PA.; special niece: Debbie (Krzywiec) husband Kevin Loughney children Brian, Kelly Greg of Clinton, NJ.; Several nieces nephews. He was preceded in death by five brothers: Joseph, Charles, Anthony, Andrew Robert Krzywiec; three sisters: Helen Czachor, Nora Rose and Theresa Bertha; one nephew: Robert Krzywiec. A Mass of Christian Burial was held Thursday, May 22, 2008 at 9:30 AM in Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, 15 Fallbrook Street, Carbondale. Interment with Military Honors, Our Mother of Sorrows Cemetery, Greenfield Township, PA.
