C. Rosalie Pennay, age 85, a resident of the Barnes-Kasson Skilled Nursing Facility, Susquehanna, PA., and formerly of Harford, PA., died Tuesday morning, February 2, 2010 at the nursing facility. She was the wife of the late Robert A. Pennay, who died October 3, 2008. Born September 17, 1924 in Norristown, PA., she was the daughter of the late Elliott and Edna (Spence) Buchanan. She was a graduate of Norristown High School and was a member of the South Gibson United Methodist Church, South Gibson, PA. and the Order of the Eastern Star. She enjoyed crossword puzzles, reading and writing letters to her family and friends. She is survived by two sons: Thomas Robert Pennay and wife Evie of Ocala, FL. and Stephen Gregory Pennay and wife Robyn of Kingsley, PA. ; one daughter: Barbara Lynn Powers and husband Robert of Kingsley, PA.; four grandchildren: Aubrey J. Pennay of Ocala, FL., Robert Bryce Powers, III., Bradley Michael Powers and Brandon Powers, all of Kingsley, PA.; several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by two brothers: Benjamin and William Buchanan. As per her request she was cremated. Cremation arrangements were entrusted to the Shifler-Parise Funeral Home Cremation Services, Clifford, PA.
