Bruce Lee Anderson, 56, a resident of the Highland Manor, Carbondale, PA., died early Friday morning, February 10, 2012 at the Lackawanna Health and Rehab Center, Sturges, PA., after a courageous battle with cancer.
Born October 15, 1955 in Jersey City, NJ., he was the son of the late William and Roberta Nelson Anderson.
Prior to his disability, he had been employed as a truck driver for many years and considered himself a jack of all trades.
He loved his children and family very much and will be deeply missed by them.
He is survived by four children: Elizabeth Michaels of Springfield, MO., Jennifer Lynn Anderson of Edison, NJ., Bruce Anderson and Bridget Anderson both of Bayonne, NJ.; one sister: Donna Valentin of Simpson, PA.; one brother: Ronald Anderson of Simpson, PA.; 9 grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by one daughter: Marian Anderson; two sisters: Sandra Kuhn and Lori McCormick.
The funeral was held Monday, February 13, 2012 at 10:30 AM from the Carmine J. Louis C. Parise Funeral Home Cremation Services, Inc., Farview and 41st Streets, Carbondale, PA. Cremation followed.
Friends called Sunday, February 12, 2012 from 2-4 7-9 PM.
