Briana A. Barbiero, age 19, a five year resident of St. Joseph's Center, Scranton, PA., passed away Saturday morning, November 10, 2007 at the Asera Care Hospice Unit at Mid Valley Hospital, Peckville, PA. Born May 23, 1988 in Scranton, PA., she is the daughter of Antoinette (Dougher) Barbiero, of RR, Carbondale, PA. Briana touched many lives over the years, from her family and friends to her many nurses at home, St. Josephs Center and Asera Care. Now she is an angel watching over us. She is survived by two sisters: Caterina Rina Barbiero of Clarks Summit, PA. and Marisa Barbiero of Clifford, PA.; one brother: Peter Barbiero of Washington Courthouse, OH.; maternal grandmother: Dolores O'Boyle of Scranton, PA.; paternal grandmother: Caterina Fiorillo of Scranton, PA.; Several Aunts, Uncles, Nieces, Nephews and Cousins. A private Mass of the Angels was held Wednesday, November 14, 2007 at 9:30 AM from St. Pius X Church, Royal, PA., celebrated by Rev. Joseph Sitko. Inurnment, Willow View Cemetery, Clifford, PA. Cremation took place from the Maple Hill Crematory, Archbald, PA. Funeral arrangements were entrusted under the care of the Shifler-Parise Funeral Home, Dundaff Main Streets, Clifford.
