Obituary

Brian E. Taylor, 87, of Kingsley, PA, passed away May 4, 2026, at Barnes Kasson Hospital, Susquehanna, PA, after a brief illness.

He was born at Cottell Lake, Clifford Township, PA, the son of the late Emeral and Carolyn Brunner Taylor. Brian was a U.S. Army veteran and served 2 1/2 years in Germany accompanied by his wife for nine months. His work life included heavy vehicle mechanics, metal fabrication, and road oil emulsions. He was the plumber, electrician, and all-around handyman at home for his entire adult life. Brian was a dedicated board member of the Maplewood Cemetery Association in Kingsley for over 40 years.

Brian was a farmer at heart. He started by helping his grandfather, Win Taylor, summers on his farm at Cottrell Lake and that farm became his forever home in his heart. He loved to travel and the last few years that travel consisted of almost weekly rides through different parts of Susquehanna County. He was a helper to all in need and a friend to many.

Brian is survived by the love of his life, his wife of 66 years, Mary Jane Wilmarth Taylor; two daughters: Victoria Taylor and partner, Billy Millard of Tingley Lake, PA, and Jennifer Pisasik of Kingsley, PA; a brother: Robert Taylor of Kingsley, PA; nine grandchildren: Nichole Hildebrand, Robert Wallace, II. (Michelle), Benjamin Pisasik (Nikki), Vincent Gordon, Jessica Lewis (Jeremy), Kendra Kohnke, Dominic Wayman, Sarah Pisasik, Jacqueline Wayman, and honorary grandchild: Douglas Mead; 15 great-grandchildren: Jeremy, Ryan and Genevieve Lewis, Robert and Seth Wallace, Taylor Hildebrand, Lejla and Hayley Wayman, Vincent and Kallyn Gordon, Xander and Landon Kohnke, Kayson, Vaeda and Wrenly Gordon.

He was also preceded in death by a daughter: Rebecca; a grandchild: Gentry Gordon; two great-grandchildren: Holden Wayman and Brian Pisasik; and an infant brother: Carl Dean Taylor.

A service to celebrate Brian’s life will be held at a future date from the Kingsley Methodist Church.
