Brenda L. Nesevich, 61, of Harford Township, PA, died Tuesday, October 24, 2022 at home, after declining health. She is survived by her husband of 40 years, Andrew M. Nesevich.

Born February 11, 1961 in Carbondale, PA, she was the daughter of the late Kenneth and Carol Nonnenberg Hollenbeck.

Brenda had previously worked at the Forest City Nursing Home and formerly owned Thomas' Restaurant in Kingsley, where she enjoyed cooking and baking but she especially cherished the lifelong friendships she made with her customers. She also worked many years alongside her husband in their stone quarry business. She loved spending time in the outdoors: hunting, fishing and camping.

Brenda was known to many as mama bear and will be fondly remembered for her selflessness and continually putting others first. She was always with a smile on her face and so full of life. Brenda was a free spirit, who would turn the music up and always dance around. Those who were close to her knew her energy. Brenda favorite title was that of grandma and she cherished the time spent with her grandchildren.

She is survived by two daughters: Sunshine Shea and husband, Leon Mickiewicz of Clifford Township, PA and Heather G. Campbell and husband, John of Lisbon, OH; three grandchildren: Sean David Shea, Madyson Grace Campbell and Chase Michael Campbell; a sister: Laurie Hollenbeck of Milford, PA; a brother: Kenneth Hollenbeck and wife, Melodie of Carbondale, PA; a sister-in-law: Barbara Brutzman of California; and several nieces and nephews.

She was also preceded in death by a granddaughter: Annabelle Hope Strelecki; a brother: Theodore Hollenbeck; and a niece: Taylor Brutzman.

A celebration of Brenda's life was held on Saturday, November 5, 2022 from 12 – 6 p.m. at Andy and Brenda's home. Family and friends were invited to say goodbye and share some fond memories.
