Beverly Jean Recker, 69, Simpsonville, SC, formerly of West Clifford and Carbondale, PA, died on October 7, 2015. Born in Elmhurst, Queens, NY, daughter of the late Walter and Stella Evanishyn Klaptosky, she is a graduate of St. Michael's High School, Brooklyn, NY. She was employed at St. Joseph's Hospital and the Carbondale Nursing Home, Carbondale, PA, in a variety of roles before relocating to South Carolina. She retired from Brookwood Community Church, Simpsonville, SC, in 2011. Her family will remember her love and generosity, unfailing strength through a courageous battle with Multiple Sclerosis, her delicious baked goodies, her fondness for cows, and her infectious laughter. She is survived by a daughter, Christine and husband E. Warren Page, Newberry, SC; sons, Daniel Recker and partner Carla Jones, Simpsonville, SC, Thomas Mindas and wife Molly, Newton Ransom, PA; daughter-in-law, Michele Meloni-Recker; grandchildren, Robert, Daniel, Christopher and Mauriana Recker, Evan Page, Wesley and Seth Mindas; one great-granddaughter, Melody Ann Recker, expected in January; many cousins, nieces, nephews and friends. She is preceded in death by a son, Robert Recker, Jr. and a sister, Gail Lines. The funeral was held Saturday, October 17, 2015 at 10:00 a.m. from the Welsh Hill Church, Union Dale, PA, with Pastor Bonnie Resseguie, officiating. Interment, Welsh Hill Cemetery, Union Dale.
