Betty S. Seymour, age 86, of Philadelphia, PA., and formerly of Clifford, PA., died Thursday morning, August 2, 2007 at Pennsylvania Hospital, Philadelphia. She was the wife of the late Richard K. Seymour, who died October 16, 1980. Born August 17, 1920 in Greenfield Township, PA., she was the daughter of the late Willard and Cora (Tompkins) Updyke. She was a graduate of Coit Memorial Hospital, Newark, New Jersey and was a housewife. She is survived by two daughters: Betty Seymour of Philadelphia, PA. with whom she resided and Susan Seymour of Liberty Hill, TX.; one son Richard Seymour of Dimock, PA.; Several Grandchildren and Great Grandchildren. A graveside service and burial was held Friday, August 10, 2007 at 11:00 AM in the Tompkinsville Cemetery, Tompkinsville, PA. Shifler-Parise Funeral Home, Clifford, PA., assisted the family with arrangements.
