Betty Bruno, 86, of Carbondale, PA, died Saturday, August 14, 2021 at Allied Services Skilled Nursing Center, Scranton, PA. She was preceded in death by her husband, Fiore Bruno, Sr. on December 15, 2008. Born November 2, 1934 in Archbald, PA, she was the daughter of the late Eugene and Alice Leonard Biglin. Betty was a graduate of Johnson Technical School, Scranton. She was employed in the local garment industry for many years and later retired from the Gentex Corporation of Simpson. She was a member of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, Carbondale. She is now reunited with her husband and son whom she missed deeply every day. She is survived by two sisters: Peggy Ciewsky and Elaine Owens both of Archbald, PA; a brother: William Biglin and wife, Cindy of Syracuse, NY; a sister-in-law: Patricia Biglin of Archbald; and numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. She was also preceded in death by a son: Fiore Bruno, Jr.; three brothers: Eugene, Jr., Leonard and John Biglin; and a sister: Mary Alice Brown. Mass of Christian Burial was held Saturday, August 21, 2021 at 9:30 a.m. at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, 15 Fallbrook Street, Carbondale, PA. Entombment, Our Mother of Sorrows Cemetery, Greenfield Township, PA. As per Betty's request there was no viewing. Arrangements by Carmine J. & Louis C.
