Barbara Jean Yarrish, 84, of South Gibson, PA, died Wednesday, October 24, 2018, at The Jewish Home of Eastern Pennsylvania, Scranton, PA, surrounded by her family. Born August 30, 1934 in Passaic, NJ, she was the daughter of the late Frederick J. and Petroniella Kuslicavage Bleaken. Barbara was a graduate of Clifton High School in New Jersey and prior to her retirement, she worked for 30 years at Passaic General Hospital in admissions for the radiology department. She enjoyed cooking and baking but most of all being a grandma. She cherished her time with her grandchildren. She is survived by six children: Thaddeus "Ted" Yarrish, Jr. and wife Gina of South Gibson, PA, Mark Yarrish of New Jersey, Richard Yarrish of La Mirada, CA, Gary Yarrish and wife Coleen of La Mirada, CA, Lisa Yarrish of New Jersey and Kevin Yarrish of Clifton, NJ; 16 grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren; one sister: Janice Muntz and husband Ron of Portersville, PA; and 6 nieces and nephews. She was also preceded in death by one sister: Phyllis Sesak. The funeral was held Saturday, October 27, 2018 at 6:00 p.m. from the Shifler-Parise Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 18 Airport Road, Clifford, PA, officiated by Pastor Mike Measley of the Evangelical Free Bible Church, Waverly, PA. Interment, Monday, October 29, 2018 in Pinewood Memorial Park, Cranberry Township, PA. Friends called Saturday, October 27, 2018 from 3-6 p.m.. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations were sent in Barbara's name to the Alzheimer`s Foundation of America, 322 Eighth Avenue, 7th Floor, New York, NY 10001.
