Barbara L. Prymock, 53, of Carbondale, PA, died Tuesday, December 8, 2015 at Geisinger CMC, Scranton, PA, after a brief battle with cancer. She is survived by her longtime companion, Steve Cyganick. Born in Carbondale, PA, she was the daughter of the late Art Sweet and the late Betty Siebold Spicer. She was also the step daughter of the late Jean Marie Sweet. Barb was a 1980 graduate of Carbondale Area High School. She took great pride in being a devoted mother and grandmother. Barb's uplifting spirit, generosity and kind heart will be missed be her family and friends. She is survived by her children: Amy Prymock, Charles Prymock, Jr., Hope Conklin, Layne Conklin and Michael Lynady all of Carbondale, PA and Nicole Lynady of Monticello, NY; two sisters: Sandy Sweet and Marge Drobnicki and husband Robert all of Carbondale, PA; a brother: Arthur Sweet and wife Carol of Scranton, PA; two step brothers: Jeff Arthur and wife Tammy of Carbondale, PA and Tommy Arthur and wife Sherry of Greenfield Township, PA; a step sister: Roseann DeAntonio of Carbondale, PA; 13 grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by two grandsons: Shea O'Brien and Damian Conklin; a sister: Ann Cavalier; a step brother: John Arthur. A funeral service was held Sunday, December 27, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. from the Carmine J. & Louis C. Parise Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., Farview and 41st Streets, Carbondale, officiated by Rev. Doug Posegate, pastor of the First United Methodist Church, Carbondale.
