Audrey M. Falls, 90, formerly of Factoryville, PA, died Friday, February 27, 2015 at Moses Taylor Hospital, Scranton, PA. She was the wife of the late Harold K. Falls, who died March 31, 2003.
Born September 6, 1924 in Gonzales, TX, she was the daughter of the late Booth and Ella Mae Whiteside.
She was the owner and operator for 12 years of Patchwork's Antique Shop, Factoryville where she had the privilege of selling a quilt that is currently in the Smithsonian National Museum of Natural History. She enjoyed shopping, auctions and wrote Christian stories and essays that sometimes were published. She was a member of the Nicholson Assembly of God Church for over 20 years and Our Lady of the Abington's Church, Dalton, PA, for the past 2 years.
She is survived by a daughter: Nora Gelatt and husband Kenneth of Lenox , PA; seven grandchildren including: Matthew Hawley and wife Janelle of La Plume, PA; two brothers: Donald and Ronald Bush, both of Texas; one great grandson: Logan James Hawley.
She was preceded in death by a son: David Falls.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, March 14, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. from the Peckville Assembly of God Church, 3364 Scranton/Carbondale Highway, Blakely, PA, with Pastor Terry Drost, officiating. Inurnment, Nicholson Cemetery, Nicholson, PA.
Cremation arrangements were under the care of the Shifler-Parise Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Clifford, PA.
