Arthur D. Newton, 52, of Plymouth, PA, died Sunday, May 24, 2015 at home. His wife of 31 years is the former Renee M. Risor.
Born September 5, 1962 in Kingston, PA, he was the son of Arthur and Karen Rozelle Newton, of Dallas, PA.
Arthur graduated from Wyoming Valley West Vo-tech School in Pringle, PA and was a painter for over 30 years. He was the owner and operator of Newton's Painting and a former member of the Courtdale United Methodist Church.
He enjoyed hunting, fishing and playing guitar. He was a fun loving and hardworking man dedicating his life to his family and friends.
He is survived by three daughters: Christina Williamson and husband Craig of Ohio, Jacqueline Newton of Wilkes Barre, PA and Melissa Newton and boyfriend Kevin Cabrera of Luzerne, PA; one son: Keith Johnson of Kingston, PA; 10 grandchildren; two sisters: Lisa Pretko, and Leighann Slusark, both of Dallas, PA; several nieces and nephews.
A memorial service was held Friday, May 29, 2015 from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. in the American Legion Banquet Hall, 33 Center Avenue, Plymouth, PA.
Cremation arrangements were under the care of the Carmine J. & Louis C. Parise Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., Carbondale, PA.
