Arthur E. Barnett, 88, of Greenfield Township, PA., died Friday morning, October 21, 2011 at VNA Hospice, Scranton, PA. He is survived by his wife the former June F. Swader. Born June 17, 1923 in Westerville, OH., he was the son of the late Homer and Bessie Skells Barnett. He was well known as a minister of Jehova's Witnesses and Bible teacher for nearly 70 years in Ohio, New York, New Mexico and Pennsylvania with the last 28 years in the Carbondale area. He is survived by one son: Mark Barnett and wife Starr of Spring Hill, FL.; two brothers: Don Barnett of Galion, OH. and Lee Barnett of Bellevue, OH. A memorial service was held Saturday, October 29, 2011 at 3:00 PM in the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, Hickory Ridge Road, Greenfield Twp., PA. Cremation arrangements were conducted by the Carmine J. Louis C. Parise Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., Carbondale, PA.
