Antoinette R. Allen, of Clearwater, Florida, and formerly of Belmont Street, Carbondale, PA. died early Sunday morning, March 23, 2003 at home. She was the wife of William T. Allen, who died September 20, 1973. Born in Carbondale, PA. She was the daughter of the late Anthony and Carmella (Mazzeo) Scalzo. She was a member of St. Rose of Lima Church, Carbondale. She is survived by her son-in-law and caretaker: Andrew J. Zurba of Clearwater, FL.; three nieces: Evelyn Pettinato, Dorothy Keating and Lucille McDonough all of Carbondale, PA. She was preceded in death by one daughter: Nita Romayne Zurba, who passed away on February 21, 2003. The funeral was held Saturday, March 29, 2003 at 9:00 am from the Carmine J. Louis C. Parise Funeral Home, Inc., Farview and 41st Streets, Carbondale, with Mass of Christian Burial at 9:30 am in St. Rose Of Lima Church, 6 North Church Street, Carbondale, celebrated by Rev. Kevin P. Mulhern, pastor. Interment, Our Mother of Sorrows Cemetery, Greenfield Township, PA. Viewing was held Friday, March 28, 2003 from 4-8.
