Obituary

Anthony M. "Whiskey" Wisniewiski, 75, of Simpson, PA, died unexpectedly Wednesday night, November 13, 2024 at home after a brief illness. He is survived by his wife, the former Lorrie Foote, they were married for 11 years but shared 19 wonderful years together.

Born December 30, 1948 in Bamberg, Germany, where his father was stationed with the U.S. Army during the Cold War. He was the son of the late Anthony M. Wisniewiski, Sr. and Ernestine Bittle Wisniewiski Fedorchak, and the step son of the late Myron Fedorchak.

Tony was a graduate of Benjamin Franklin High School, Carbondale, and began his career at Pizza Crust in Carbondale, and later worked for Hornbeck Chevrolet and Tioga Manufacturing both of Carbondale. He retired three years ago from the City of Carbondale's DPW and was still currently working for them part time.

Tony enjoyed fishing, classic cars and loved riding his motorcycle. He was a member of the Sons of Nam motorcycle club. He was fondly called Whiskey by his many friends and he enjoyed spending time socializing with them over the years as a social member at the Moxie Club, American Legion Post 221, the former Caruso Club, and the Elk Mountain VFW Post 8488.

He is survived by a son: Andy Wisniewiski and fiancée, Liza Walton of Scott Township, PA; a grandson: Michael Roberts; a sister: Ann Rose Salak and husband, James of Waymart, PA; two brothers: Joseph Wisniewiski of Carbondale, PA, and Jeremy Fedorchak and wife, Mary of Simpson, PA; and several nieces and nephews.

He was also preceded in death by a daughter: Jennifer Wisniewiski; two grandsons: Jonathan Sawko and Anthony Brandon Wisniewiski; and a sister: Debbie Scott and husband, Kevin.

As per his request, he was cremated and a private family gathering will be held to celebrate his life.
