Anthony J. Sliva, Jr., 56, of Carbondale, PA., died Monday night, March 27, 2006 at Moses Taylor Hospital, Scranton, PA.
Born October 14, 1949 in Carbondale, PA. He was the son of Mary (Cerra) Sliva of Carbondale and the late Anthony W. Sliva who died in 1980.
He was affiliated with St. Rose of Lima Church and Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church both of Carbondale. He was employed as a cook at the former St. Josephs Hospital and at the Carbondale Nursing Home.
He is survived by one brother: Leonard Sliva of Dalton, PA.; one sister: Carol and husband Wright Lloyd of Carbondale, PA.; Several Nieces and Nephews
The funeral was held Friday, March 31, 2006 at 8:30 AM from the Carmine J. Louis C. Parise Funeral Home, Inc., Farview and 41st Streets, Carbondale with Mass of Christian Burial at 9:00 am in St. Rose of Lima Church, 6 North Church Street, Carbondale, celebrated by Msgr. Joseph G. Quinn, pastor, officiating. Interment, Our Mother of Sorrows Cemetery, Greenfield Township, PA.
Friends called Thursday, March 30, 2006 from 5-8 PM
