Anthony J. Misko, Sr., 86, of Mayfield, PA, died Friday, August 14, 2020 at home surrounded by his family after a lengthy illness. He is survived by his wife of 57 years, the former Eleanor A. Socha.
Born November 16, 1933 in Eynon, PA, he was the son of the late George and Della Matulaitis Misko.
Tony served in the U.S. Army and worked as an electroplater for Walter Kidde and Company in New Jersey for many years. Upon his retirement, he and his wife moved back to Pennsylvania.
He was a former member of Sacred Heart of Jesus Church, Mayfield, PA, and a current member of Christ the King Parish, Archbald, PA. Tony enjoyed fishing and camping.
He is survived by one daughter: Susan Misko of Mayfield, PA; one son: Raymond Misko and wife, Nadine of Fairlawn, NJ; three grandchildren: Isabell Morawski, Sydney and Dylan Misko; one brother: George Misko of Eynon, PA; and several nieces and nephews.
He was also preceded in death by a son: Anthony M. Misko; three brothers: Leonard, Andrew and Joseph Misko; and three sisters: Matilda Malinowski, Josephine Chrusciel and Magdalen Deliman.
A Mass of Christian Burial was held Friday, August 21, 2020 at 10:00 a.m. from St. Thomas Aquinas Church, 411 Church Street, Archbald, PA. Interment with military honors, St. Francis Cemetery, Eynon, PA.
Arrangements were under the care of the Carmine J. & Louis C. Parise Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., Carbondale, PA.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions were made to Allied Hospice Services Foundation, 100 Abington Executive Park, Clarks Summit, PA 18411
