Anthony "Tony" Laguzzi, 83, of Browndale, PA, died Sunday, March 16, 2025 at Wayne Memorial Hospital, Honesdale, PA, after a brief illness. His wife, the former Jean F. Costantino died June 29, 2010.

Born February 16, 1942 in Carbondale, PA, he was the son of the late Samuel, Sr. and Theresa Ross Laguzzi.

Tony was a graduate of Benjamin Franklin High School, Carbondale, and served in 109th Infantry of the Pennsylvania Army National Guard. He was a talented carpenter having worked for Triangle Pacific, Ron Franks Construction and P.J.'s Home Center. Tony was an avid bowler, and a dedicated Yankees and Steelers fan. An avid outdoorsman, he enjoyed fishing and hunting and was a lifetime member of the Browndale Sportsman Club. Tony enjoyed the companionship of his dog, Angus and cat, Fuzzy but especially cherished the time spent visiting with his family.

He is survived by one son: Stephen Laguzzi and partner, Ina Pesavento of Browndale, PA; four brothers: Samuel Laguzzi, Jr., and wife, Patricia of Forest City, PA, John Laguzzi and wife, Sharon of Carbondale, PA, Thomas Laguzzi and wife, Gloria of Carbondale, PA and Michael Laguzzi of Carbondale, PA; two sisters: Mary Wielebinski of Forest City, PA, and Angela Saltisiak and husband, Peter of Simpson, PA; two grandchildren: Justine Knight and husband, Brad and Dominick Pesavento; two great-grandchildren: Brody and Merit Knight; and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was also preceded in death by two brothers: infant Frederick and Joseph Laguzzi; and two sisters: Donna Laguzzi and Ann Marie Pauswinski.

The funeral was held Friday, March 21, 2025 from Carmine J. & Louis C. Parise Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., 89 Farview Street, Carbondale, PA, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. in Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, 15 Fallbrook Street, Carbondale, PA, celebrated by Rev. Joseph Mosley, senior priest. Interment, St. Joseph Cemetery, Forest City, PA.

Friends called Friday, March 21, 2025 from 8:30 - 9:30 a.m. at the funeral home.
