Obituary

Anthony J. Andidora, 59, of Carbondale, PA., died Tuesday afternoon, September 27, 2011 at the Carbondale Nursing and Rehab Center, Carbondale, after a lengthy illness. Born November 10, 1951 in Carbondale, PA., he was the son of the late Dominick Magrag and Margaret Maggie (Scalamonti) Andidora. He was a graduate of the Benjamin Franklin High School and was a member of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, both of Carbondale. He was employed for many years at the family business, The Carawanna Lunch in Carbondale. He enjoyed building and collecting scale model military planes, tanks and vehicles. He was an avid hunter and belonged to the Four Seasons Hunting Lodge. The family would like to send special thanks to his former physician Dr. Thomas Craparo, who treated him for many years and his current physician Dr. Matthew Haley. Thanks is also given to the staff of the Carbondale Nursing and Rehab Center as well as Home Healthcare Hospice, especially Allyson Bilinsky and Lisa White for their exceptional care. He is survived by one brother: Dominick Magrag Andidora and wife Kathy of Carbondale, PA.; three nephews: Dominick Andidora and wife Nicole, David Andidora and Nicholas Andidora and wife Shannon; one niece: Jaime Andidora; six great nephews and nieces: Karmin, Kialene, Kai, Angelina, Nicholas and Dominick; aunts, uncles and cousins. The funeral was held Friday, September 30, 2011 at 9:00 AM from the Carmine J. Louis C. Parise Funeral Home and Cremation Service, Inc., Farview and 41st Streets, Carbondale, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 9:30 AM in Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, 15 Fallbrook Street, Carbondale., celebrated by Rev. Russell E. Motsay, pastor. Interment, St. John's Cemetery, Jessup, PA. Friends called Thursday, September 29, 2011 from 4-8 PM. Pallbearers: Karmin Andidora, Dominick Andidora, Phillip Andidora, James Andidora, Nicholas Andidora and Ryan Loftus.
