Anne M. Brown, age 89, of South Abington Township, PA., died Saturday morning, January 24, 2009 at the Lackawanna County Health Care Center, Peckville, PA. She was the wife of the late Rodney Brown who died in 1995. Born April 22, 1919 in Scranton, PA., she was the daughter of the late Anthony and Mary (Petrauskas) Gallick.Prior to retirement, she was employed as a school crossing guard and a security officer in Clarke, New Jersey. Anne's family wishes to extend their deepest gratitude to the doctors, nurses and custodial staff at Lackawanna County Health Care Center for their care and love offered to Anne during her illness. She is survived by four nieces: Barbara Bentzen and husband Robert of Englewood, FL., Cindie Calvino of Gloucester, MA., Judy Kane and husband Edward of Scranton, PA. and Christine Wofford and husband Scott of Scranton, PA.; one nephew: George Gallick and wife Cynthia of Carbondale, PA.; one great niece several great nephews; one great great niece.She was preceded in death by one sister: Alice Matulis; two brothers: John Gallick and George Gallick, Sr.As per her request, a private interment was held Friday, January 30, 2009 at 10:30 AM in Cathedral Cemetery, Scranton, PA., with committal services held by Rev. Joseph F. Cipriano.Funeral arrangments were entrusted to the Carmine J. Louis C. Parise Funeral Home Cremation Services, Inc., Farview 41st Streets, Carbondale, PA.
