Anna Wolfe, 91, RR, Forest City, PA., died Tuesday afternoon, September 22, 2009 at the Marian Community Hospital, Carbondale, PA. She was the wife of William Wolfe, Sr. who died May 13, 1983. They were married June 6, 1942 and were the first couple married in St. John the Baptist Church in Dundaff, PA. Born February 18, 1918 in Simpson, PA., she was the daughter of the late Wassyl and Mary Milenchuck Evanishyn.She was a member and former trustee of St. John the Baptist Russian Orthodox Church, Dundaff. She had been active in many of the church's dinners and fundraisers. She is survived by three sons: Francis Wolfe and wife Margaret of West Chester, OH., R. Michael Wolfe of RR, Forest City, PA. and William Wolfe, Jr. and wife Anna of Union Dale, PA.; seven grandchildren: Bryan Wolfe, Robert Wolfe, Tammy O'Rourke and husband Chris, Jennifer Vallone and husband Mark, Laura Wolfe, William B. Wolfe and James R. Wolfe; five great grandchildren: Audrey and Alison O'Rourke, Justin Wolfe and twins Francesca and Joseph Vallone; three sisters: Mary Steponaitis of Union Dale, PA., Elizabeth Scott of RR, Forest City, PA. and Penney Williams and husband Robert of Union Dale, PA.; several nieces and nephews.She was preceded in death by two brothers: Michael and Walter Evanishyn; one sister: Stella Klaptosky; one granddaughter-in-law: Dawn Wolfe.The funeral was held Friday, September 25, 2009 at 11:00 AM from the Shifler-Parise Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Dundaff and Main Streets, Clifford, PA., with a Requiem Service at 11:30 AM in St. John the Baptist Russian Orthodox Church, Dundaff, with the Very Reverend Dennis Swencki, pastor. Interment, parish cemetery, Dundaff. Pallbearers: Thomas Davis, Mark Vallone, John Demanovich, Bryan, James and William Wolfe. Friends called Thursday, September 24, 2009 from 4-8 PM.
