Anna C. deGonzague, 84, of Forest City, PA, died Friday morning, March 5, 2021 at home surrounded by her family after a lengthy illness. She is survived by her husband, Robert A. deGonzague. Born August 1, 1936 in Queens, NY, she was the daughter of the late Stanley and Bridget Kubas Moraski. Ann was raised in Maspeth, Queens, NY, and was a longtime resident of its Rosedale neighborhood before settling in Forest City. She was a graduate of New York public schools and The Cooper Union and had been formerly employed as a bookkeeper for the Bohack Supermarket, Brooklyn, NY, and later retired from St. Clare Academy, Rosedale. Ann attended St. Rose of Lima Church, Carbondale, PA, and enjoyed spending time with her friends from the Red Hat Society. She is survived by two sons: Robert deGonzaque of Forest City, PA and Christopher DeGonzague, a Forest City Borough Councilman; and several nieces and nephews. She was also preceded in death by two brothers: Walter and Larry Moraski. A Mass of Christian Burial was held on Friday, March 12, 2021 at 9:30 a.m. from St. Rose of Lima Church, 6 N. Church Street, Carbondale, PA, celebrated by Rev. Jeff Walsh, pastor. Interment, St. Joseph's Cemetery, Forest City, PA. Friends called Thursday, March 11, 2021 from 5-7 p.m. at Carmine J. & Louis C.
