Ann Louise Valentine, age 74, of Union Dale, PA., died late Wednesday evening, February 9, 2011 at the Mercy Hospice, Scranton, PA. She is survived by her husband of 54 years Frank C. Valentine.
Born October 23, 1936 in Mayfield, PA., she was the daughter of the late Frank and Anna (Laskowski) Prybicien.
She was a member of St. John Vianney Parish of Montdale and Royal, PA. She was an employee at RCA in New Jersey and retired from Specialty Records, Olyphant, PA. She was also a member of the Elk Mountain VFW Post 8488 Ladies Auxiliary, Lenox, PA. and the American Legion Post 221 Ladies Auxiliary, Carbondale, PA.
She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother who loved crocheting, flea markets, shopping and spending winters in Florida.
She is survived by two daughters: Lorraine Valentine of Union Dale, PA. and Barby Tatarka and husband Scott of Cooper City, FL.; two granddaughters: Breann Louise and Heather Marie Tatarka; two sisters: Victoria Karausky of Vandling, PA. and Phyllis Gursky of Vestal, NY.; three brothers: Marty and Frank Prybicien, both of Mayfield, PA. and Carl Prybicien of Carbondale, PA.; several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by one daughter: Diane Valentine; one granddaughter: Holly Smith; three sisters: Theresa Trusky, Veronica Jarusik and Patricia Doolittle; one brother: Thomas Prybicien; two infant sisters; one infant brother; one son-in-law: Randy Kilmer.
The funeral was held Monday, February 14, 2011 at 9:30 AM from the Shifler-Parise Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 18 Airport Road, Clifford, PA., with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 AM in St. Pius X Church, Route 106, Royal, PA., celebrated by Rev. Michael J. Kirwin, pastor. Interment, Our Mother of Sorrows Cemetery, Greenfield Township, PA.
Friends called Sunday, February 13, 2011 from 6-9 PM.
