Obituary

Ann M. Thomas, 81, of Clifford Township, PA., died Tuesday morning, October 1, 2013 at the Allied Skilled Nursing Center, Scranton, PA. She was the wife of Delbert Thomas who died on October 11, 2011. Born May 22, 1932 in Scranton, PA, she was the daughter of the late Thomas and Mary Barrett Ruddy. Ann graduated from South Catholic High School in 1950 and later that year married Delbert, her husband of 63 years. She created a nurturing home and hosted countless family gatherings and parties, where all were welcomed. During their retirement years, her and her husband ran an antique business, learning new things everyday, and welcoming customers into their shop and home, which meant there was always someone extra for dinner. Ann and her husband nurtured their children in their Catholic faith. For many years she was the president of the Altar and Rosary Society at Saint Mary's of the Lake Parish, Lake Winola, PA. and was currently a member of St. John Vianney Parish in Montdale and Royal, PA. Her children and grandchildren will miss her vibrant personality and constant love and support.
