Ann L. Sudlesky, 88, of Lenoxville, PA., died early Sunday morning, November 25, 2007 at the Marian Community Hospital, Carbondale, PA. She was the wife of the late Walter Sudlesky who died April 20, 1969.
Born November 6, 1919 in Newburgh, NY., she was the daughter of the late Lawrence and Anna H. (West) Aton. She worked in many local dress factories, the Bendix Corporation in Montrose, PA. and two family owned local taverns.
She was a loving mother and nonnie who loved flowers, her hummingbirds, and spending time with her family telling stories. She will be sadly missed always.
She is survived by one daughter: Ann Marie Cookie and husband Michael Apostolico of Carbondale, PA.; one son: Walter Jim Sudlesky of Lenoxville, PA.; five grandchildren: Michael and wife Sissy Apostolico of Archbald, PA., Lisa Rotell of Archbald, PA., Tricia Buonomo of Carbondale, PA., Linda Sudlesky of Boston, MA. and Michael Fargnoli of Archbald, PA.; seven great grandchildren; several nieces nephews She was preceded in death by two brothers: Thomas and Lawrence Aton.; four sisters: Marie, Clara and Audrey Aton and Maebell Lewis A graveside service was held Saturday, December 1, 2007 at 11:00 AM in Our Mother of Sorrows Cemetery Chapel, Greenfield Township, PA., with the Rev. Barry Jaggars, pastor of The Church on the Hill, Carbondale.
Cremation took place from Maple Hill Crematory, Archbald. In lieu of flowers, donations can be sent to the Gino Merli Veterans Center, 401 Penn Avenue, Scranton, PA. 18515. Arrangements were entrusted under the care of the Shifler-Parise Funeral Home Cremation Services, Dundaff Main Streets, Clifford, PA.
