Ann Malinchak Gray, 88, Greenfield Township, PA, died Monday, January 16, 2017 at Geisinger Medical Center, Danville, PA. Born November 8, 1928 in Jessup, PA, she was the daughter of the late Frank and Catherine Kutchmanich Malinchak. Ann was educated in Dickson City public schools and prior to her retirement, had been employed by St. Joseph's Center in Scranton, as an in home nurses aide. After the death of her husband, Ann returned to Greenfield Township from Springfield, Mass., to live on the family farm where she spent many hours taking care of her yard, something she always enjoyed and took pride in. Ann was a devoted mother, caregiver and special "Auntie Ann". She will be missed. The family would like to thank Allied Services Home Healthcare for their kindness and care towards Ann and her son over the past several years. She is survived by one son: Neal Gray, with whom she resided; one daughter: Sharron Wallace and husband Michael of Scranton; one grandson: Spencer Gray of Boulder, CO; a brother-in-law: Philip Podhyski, Sr. of Greenfield Township; her nieces and nephews, Philip, Kathy, Carol, Diane and Bobby, who were very dear and kind to her over the past several years. She was preceded in death by her husband Gordon Gray, who died in 1963; one brother: Robert Malinchak; one sister: Rose Mary "Tootsie" Podhyski, who recently passed away. Private funeral services were held at the convenience of the family from Carmine J. & Louis C. Parise Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., Carbondale. Final resting place, Our Mother of Sorrows Cemetery, Greenfield Township.
