Ann Marie Furiosi, 85, of Jermyn, PA, died Saturday, November 8, 2025, at the Scranton Health Care Center.
Born April 2, 1940 in Carbondale, PA, she was the daughter of the late John and Frances (Featherall) Fecina.
Ann Marie was a seamstress and worked for numerous local garment factories prior to her retirement. She was a member of Sacred Hearts of Jesus and Mary Church, Jermyn, and also was a member of its choir. She enjoyed traveling, especially cruises and loved cooking and baking.
The family wishes to thank the staffs of Scranton Health Care Center and Compassionate Care Hospice for their wonderful care to Ann Marie and her family.
She is survived by a daughter: Jennifer Ruddy and husband, Paul of Jermyn, PA; daughter-in-law: Melanie Furiosi of Jermyn, PA; two granddaughters: Morgan and Jordan Ruddy; niece: Laurie Polkowski; and three nephews: Robert Wilce, John Paul and Franco Fecina.
She was also preceded in death by a son: R.A. Furiosi; a sister: Rita Wilce; a brother: John Fecina and a nephew: Michael Fecina.
A Mass of Christian Burial was held Thursday, November 13, 2025 at 10:00 a.m. in Sacred Hearts of Jesus and Mary Church, 622 Madison Avenue, Jermyn, PA, celebrated by Rev. Ryan P. Glenn, pastor. Interment, Jermyn Cemetery, Jermyn, PA..
Pallbearers: Paul Ruddy, Jim Polkowski, John Paul Fecina, Franco Fecina, Tyler Smith and Jonny Kowalski.
A viewing was held Thursday, November 13, 2025,from 9:00 am to 10:00 a.m. at the church.
Arrangements were under the care of the Carmine J. & Louis C. Parise Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., Carbondale, PA.
