Ann Jean Chorba, age 81, of Acre Lake, PA. (Susquehanna County), died Sunday, July 15, 2012 at home. She was the wife of the late John P. Chorba, who died May 2, 1987. Born November 14, 1930 in Scranton, PA., she was the daughter of the late James and Margaret (Kilowee) Walsh. She was a graduate of Holy Rosary High School, Scranton and worked as a seamstress for many years. She will be missed by everyone who knew her. She is survived by ten nieces and one nephew. She was preceded in death by five brothers: James, Michael, Jack, Thomas and Raymond Walsh; one sister: Marie Garvey. A blessing service was held Tuesday, July 24, 2012 at 12:00 PM in the Chapel of the Cathedral Cemetery, 1708 Oram Street., Scranton, with Rev. William Blake, officiating. Inurnment followed the service. Arrangements were entrusted to the Shifler-Parise Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Clifford, PA.
