Angela Farber Parise, Carbondale, PA., died Wednesday, December 4, 2013 at the Forest City Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Forest City, PA, just short of her 91st birthday. She was the wife of the late Joseph M. Parise, Jr. who died July of 2000. They were married for 54 years. Born January 19, 1923 in Carbondale, PA, Angela was the daughter of the late Philip and Madeline Cerra Farber. She attended St. Rose Convent School and was a graduate of Benjamin Franklin High School. She was also a graduate of the Hoyt School of Practical Nursing. For many years, she was associated with Farber Restaurants of Northeastern PA. Mrs. Parise was a life long member of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, Carbondale. Angie will be missed by all who knew her warm smile or experienced her welcoming hospitality. The family wishes to thank Dr. Neal Davis, M.D. for his outstanding care and the exceptional staff of the Forest City Nursing Rehabilitation Center for their kindness, compassion and support. She is survived by a daughter Mary Parise Tomaine and husband Robert of Madison, AL and Crystal Lake, PA; a son Joseph J. Parise, III., and wife Eileen McAndrew Parise of Lenoxville, PA; three granddaughters, Susan Michele Tomaine, Esq. and husband Robin Mahood, Esq. of Vancouver, B.C., Canada; Nicole Elizabeth and Mary Frances Parise both of Lenoxville, PA; a brother, William F. Farber, Sr. of Crystal Lake, PA; a sister Patricia Farber Smith of Stroudsburg, PA; two great grandchildren, Sam and Isobel Brock-Mahood of Vancouver; several nieces, nephews and a special cousin, Madeline Gentile Nault of Carbondale, PA. Angela was also preceded in death by three brothers, Francis, Philip and Joseph Farber and two sisters, Rosemarie Farber Grippo and Madeline Farber Frailey. The funeral was held Saturday, December 7, 2013 at 9:00 AM from the Carmine J. Louis C. Parise Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., Farview and 41st Streets, Carbondale, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 9:30 AM in Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, 15 Fallbrook Street, Carbondale, celebrated by Msgr. David L. Tressler, pastor. Interment, Our Mother of Sorrows Cemetery, Greenfield Township, PA. Pallbearers: William Farber, Jr., Robert Farber, Philip Farber, III., Rod Baechtold, Jr., Robin Mahood, Esq., Charles Lubash and Leon Feduchak. Friends called Friday, December 6, 2013 from 4-7 PM. In lieu of flowers, donations in Angela's name were made to Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, 15 Fallbrook Street, Carbondale, Pa 18407.
