Angela R. (Liuzzo) Knott, age 84, of Carbondale, PA., passed away unexpectedly late Saturday evening, December 16, 2006 at the Marian Community Hospital, Carbondale. She was the wife of the late Chester Knott, who died February 21, 1968. Born February 8, 1922 in Carbondale, PA., she was the daughter of the late Gaetano and Sadie (Maudo) Liuzzo. She was a member of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church in Carbondale and was a 1941 graduate of the Benjamin Franklin High School in Carbondale. She was a police woman in Rochester, New York where she lived for many years and was later employed in the dietary department at the Marian Community Hospital in Carbondale for 20 years. She loved her family very much and enjoyed spending time with them, especially her great niece and great nephew, Jessica and Ian Martin. She is survived by one brother her caregivers: Joseph wife Theresa Liuzzo of Carbondale, PA., with whom she resided along with her nephew, Thomas Liuzzo; one niece: Sally husband Paul Martin of Carbondale, PA.; great niece nephew: Jessica Ian Martin of Carbondale, PA.; Numerous other Nieces Nephews. She was preceded in death by one daughter: Sandra Knott, who died July 23, 1969; six sisters: Dora Rabbige, Carmella Zaccone, Helen Farrell, Mary Liuzzo, Victoria Aloisio and Josephine Florini; three brothers: Anthony, James and Samuel Liuzzo. The funeral was held Wednesday, December 20, 2006 at 9:00 AM from the Carmine J. Louis C. Parise Funeral Home, Inc., Farview 41st Streets, Carbondale, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 9:30 AM in Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, 15 Fallbrook Street, Carbondale, celebrated by Rev. Russell Motsay, pastor. Interment, Our Mother of Sorrows Cemetery, Greenfield Township, PA. Friends called Tuesday, December 19, 2006 from 2-4 7-9 PM. Pallbearers: Joseph Aliosio, Thomas Liuzzo, Thomas and Joseph Zaccone, Paul Martin and William Bott; all Nephews.
