Angela M. "Marie" Grecco, 86, Clifford, PA, died Wednesday, July 20, 2022 surrounded by her loving family at the home of her son, James. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ralph J. Grecco on October 6, 2004. Born October 27, 1935 in Carbondale, PA, she was the daughter of the late Peter and Philomena Sirianni DeFazio. She was a member of St. Pius X Church, Royal, and enjoyed cooking, baking, fishing, gardening and crocheting. Marie appreciated nature's beauty and found comfort in bird watching. She cherished the time spent with her family and she will be deeply missed by them. She is survived by eight children: Mary Hagan of Carbondale, PA, Joseph Grecco and wife, Lori of Pleasant Mount, PA, Ralph Grecco and wife, Pam of Clifford, PA, John Grecco and wife, Tracie of Carbondale, PA, Annette Peters and husband, Don of Clifford, PA, Kathy Matichak and husband, Bill of Peckville, PA, James Grecco and companion, Shelley of Clifford, PA, and Angela Grecco of Claymont, DE; one sister: Rosalie Bradley of Carbondale, PA; 19 grandchildren; many great-grandchildren; several great-great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. She was also preceded in death by a granddaughter: Jamie Lynn Panek; three brothers: Joseph, Jasper and Joseph DeFazio; two sisters: Clara Brown Scalzo and Catherine DeFazio. The funeral was held Monday, July 25, 2022 from the Shifler-Parise Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 18 Airport Road, Clifford, PA, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. at St. Pius X Church, Royal, PA, celebrated by Rev. Michael Kirwin, pastor. Interment, Valley View Memorial Park, Montdale, PA. Pallbearers: sons: Joseph Grecco, Ralph Grecco, John Grecco and James Grecco; grandsons: John Grecco, David Grecco, Daniel Grecco, Joseph Grecco, Ralph Grecco, III., Sean Hagan, Brian Hagan, Jamie Dodgeson, Robert Panek, Joseph Kelly, Mark McDonald and James McDermott. Viewing hours were held Sunday, July 24, 2022 from 2-6 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations were made to the donor's choice.
