Angela M. Clause, age 88, of Carbondale, PA. died early Wednesday morning, June 2, 2004 at the Marian Community Hospital, Carbondale. She was the wife of the late Albert J. Clause, Sr. who died July 14, 1991.
Born July 2, 1915 in Jermyn, PA. She was the daughter of the late Joseph and Emma (Paone) Surace.
She was a member of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, Carbondale. She was a graduate of Mayfield High School.
She was co-owner of Clause Beer Distributor of Carbondale which was founded in 1951 by her husband Albert J. Clause, Sr. She was the company's bookeeper for many years. She was also a member of the Marian Community Hospital Auxillary in Carbondale.
She was a devoted wife, mother, sister, grandmother and great grandmother who was known as Nonny and will be missed dearly.
She is survived by two Daughters: Jocelyn Comonitski and husband John of Waverly, PA. and Emilene Pittsman and husband Santo of Jermyn, PA.; two sons: Albert J. Clause, Jr. and wife Joan of Jermyn, PA. and Joseph Clause and wife Kathy of Jermyn, PA.: two sisters: Mary Buckingham of Mayfield, PA. and Joan Rinkers of Swarthmore, PA.; two brothers: Joseph Surace of Greenfield Township, PA. and Frank Surace of Mayfield, PA.; 12 Grandchildren; 12 Great Grandchildren; Several Nieces Nephews
She was preceded in death by three brothers: James Surace, Emil Leo Surace, and John Surace; one sister: Katherine Surace
The funeral was held Friday, June 4, 2004 at 9:00 am from the Carmine J. Louis C. Parise Funeral Home, Inc., Farview and 41st Streets, Carbondale with a Mass of Christian Burial at 9:30 am in Our Lady Of Mount Carmel Church, 15 Fallbrook Street, Carbondale, celebrated by Rev. Russell E. Motsay, pastor and Rev. Hilary Malinowski of St. Michael's Church, Simpson. Interment, Our Mother of Sorrows Cemetery, Greenfield Township.
Friends called Thursday, June 3, 2004 from 4-8 pm. Pallbearers: All Grandchildren-Santo Pittsman, Michael Pittsman, John Comonitski, James Clause, Albert Clause, III, Chris Clause and Jason Clause.
