Andrew Yakubik, age 85, of RD Forest City, PA., died Wednesday evening, October 8, 2003 at the Gino Merli Veterans Center, Scranton, PA. His wife is the former Carol Petkus. Born March 21, 1918 in Butler, PA. He was the son of the late John and Julia Yakubik He was a Navy veteran of World War II. Prior to his retirement he was employed as a welder for the Pagnotti Coal Company. He was of the Ukranian Catholic faith. He is survived by two daughters: Carol Scarfo of Scranton, PA. and Jean McAlla of Clifford, PA.; three sons: Andrew Yakubik of Carbondale, PA., John Yakubik and Steven Yakubik both of Forest City, PA.; 4 Grandchildren He was preceded in death by two brothers: Harry and Frank Yakubik; one sister: Mary Evancho Cremation took place at the Maple Hill Crematory, Archbald, PA. Carmine J. Louis C. Parise Funeral Home, Inc., Farview and 41st Streets, Carbondale assisted the family with funeral arrangements.
