Amira A. Abod, age 99, of Scranton, PA., died Friday afternoon, July 23, 2010 at Moses Taylor Hospital, Scranton. Born October 29, 1910 in Scranton, PA., she was the daughter of the late Annise and Abla (Rouhana) Fogley. Prior to her retirement, she had been employed as a seamstress in the local garment industry. She is survived by one son: Joseph Abod of Scranton, PA.; As per her request, she was cremated. Cremation arrangements were under the direction of the Carmine J. Louis C. Parise Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., Carbondale, PA.
