Allan J. Lake, 63, of Olyphant, PA., died Tuesday morning, December 4, 2012 at Moses Taylor Hospital, Scranton, PA.
Born March 31, 1949 in Jersey City, NJ., he was the son of the late George and Catherine Reynolds Lake.
He was a former resident of New Jersey and had resided in the area for the past 10 years. Prior to his illness, he had been employed as a platform worker in the trucking industry for many years and was of the Catholic faith. He enjoyed playing the lottery and watching television programs and movies about paranormal activity.
He is survived by two sisters: Lorraine Calabrese of Carbondale, PA. and Doris Davis of Keansburg, NJ.; four brothers: Kenneth Lake of Florida, Gerard Hess of Fort Myers, FL., Donald Hess of Scranton, PA. and Charles Richard Hess of Nutley, NJ.; several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by three brothers: Albert Lake his twin, Walter and Dennis Hess; three sisters: Agnes Ambessi, Barbara Lanni and Carol Lawler.
A graveside service was held Saturday, December 8, 2012 at 11:00 AM in the Willow View Cemetery, Clifford, PA.
Arrangements were entrusted to the Carmine J. Louis C. Parise Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., Carbondale, PA.
