Alice Kupstas, age 88, formerly of Brooklyn, NY. and a resident of the Gracious Living Estates, Montrose, PA., died Saturday morning, January 12, 2013.
Born May 21, 1924 in Pleasant Mount, PA., she was the daughter of the late Anthony and Mary (Yaketas) Kupstas.
She was born on a farm in Pleasant Mount where she graduated from high school. She moved to Brooklyn, New York in the 1950's where she worked and retired as a clerk for the Army National Guard of New York before moving back to the area. She was of the Catholic faith.
She is survived by several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by three sisters: Mary Zimmer, Josephine Kupstas and Anna Bolcavage; three brothers: Edward, Anthony and Joseph Kupstas.
A graveside service was held at the convenience of the family in Our Mother of Sorrows Cemetery, Greenfield Township, PA.
Funeral arrangements were entrusted to the Shifler-Parise Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Clifford, PA.
