Alice L. Everitt, 82, Greenfield Township, PA., died Monday evening, July 9, 2012 at the Forest City Nursing Home, Forest City, PA. She was the wife of the late William E. Everitt, who died on December 29, 1992. Born December 25, 1929 in Carbondale, PA., she was the daughter of the late Harry R. and Viola G. Rivenburg. She attended the Greenfield Township School and graduated from Benjamin Franklin High School, Carbondale. She was a nurse's aide and provided private care for many years. Later in life, she worked as a cook for several local restaurants. She enjoyed crafts and volunteering her time. She was of the Protestant faith and enjoyed attending religious services throughout the area. She is survived by three daughters: Linda Short and husband Carl, Bonny Zaleski and husband Richard and Susan Pacanowski and husband Stanley all of Greenfield Township, PA.; seven grandchildren; four great grandsons; one brother: H. Ronald Rivenburg of Bel Air, MD.; several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by two brothers: Rex and Russell Rivenburg. A private funeral was held at the convenience of the family from the Shifler-Parise Funeral Home Cremation Services, 18 Airport Road, Clifford. Interment, Willow View Cemetery, Clifford, PA. A public visitation for family and friends was held Friday, July 13, 2012 from 5-8 PM at the funeral home. Pallbearers: Carl Short, Jason Short, Dan Zaleski, Richard Zaleski, Nathan Zaleski, Shawn Anzulewicz and Matt Freer.
