Obituary

Alfred J. Miller, age 57, of Browndale, PA., died Monday afternoon, November 28, 2005 at Moses Taylor Hospital, Scranton, PA. He was the husband of the former Deborah Dick. They were married June 4, 1999. Born December 6, 1947 in Carbondale, PA., he was the son of the late Jack Harold and Bertha Mae (Squires) Miller. He was an Vietnam War veteran having served as an Army paratrooper. Prior to his disability he was a certified self-employed electrician. He was an avid fisherman. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and brother who will be deeply missed. He is survived by three sons: Jeffrey Miller, Michael Crowl and Edward Santos; two daughters: Laura Crowl, Pamela Santos; one brother: James Miller; five grandchildren: Kendra, Alexis, Michael, Kimberlee and Jeremy. He was preceded in death by nine siblings. The funeral was held Friday, December 2, 2005 at 8:30 pm in the Carmine J. Louis C. Parise Funeral Home, Inc., Farview and 41st Streets, Carbondale, with Rev. Nester S. Kowal, pastor of St. Marys Russian Orthodox Church, Scranton, officiating. Cremation followed at the Maple Hill Crematory, Archbald, PA. Friends called Friday, December 2, 2005 from 5:00 pm till service time.
