Alexander A. Klinger, 87, of Lakeville, PA, died Tuesday, October 4, 2022 at Regional Hospital, Scranton, PA, after an illness. He was preceded in death by his wife, the former Nancy L. McDowell on December 14, 2015.

Born May 16, 1935 in Paterson, NJ, he was the son of the late Frederick and Jennie Smith Klinger.

He was a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War and had been employed for many years in the construction industry as well as being a building superintendent for over 20 years in South River, NJ.

He is survived by three daughters: Jennie Elizabeth Klinger, Sherree R. Zeller and Jeanie Artishenko; two sons: Alexander Klinger, Jr. and Bruce A. Klinger; 11 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; eleven siblings: John, David, Alfred, Joseph, Edward, Lawrence, Frederick, Jr., Jennie, Henry, Erma and Anthony; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

He was also preceded in death by seven siblings: Phillip, Frederick, Paul, Lucia, Vincent, Margaret and Caroline.

Cremation arrangements were entrusted to Carmine J. & Louis C. Parise Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., Carbondale, PA.
