Alberta Racht, 82, of Carbondale, PA., died Thursday afternoon, April 4, 2013 at Regional Hospital, Scranton, PA., after a brief illness. She was the wife of James Racht, who died February 3, 2009. Born March 15, 1931 in Carbondale, PA., she was the daughter of the late James and Elsie Pearce Corrigan. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Carbondale and retired from the Gentex Corporation in Simpson, PA. She is survived by one son: James Racht of Carbondale, PA.; two grandchildren; four great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews including: John and Eugene Natichak, Judy Tarchak, Linda Curyk, Lisa Sucic, Lorraine Miller and Kevin Corrigan. She was preceded in death by her beloved daughter: Dianne L. Racht; three Sisters: Lily Corrigan, Shirley Miller and Marjorie Williamson; one brother: James Corrigan. The funeral was held Monday, April 8, 2013 at 11:30 AM from the Carmine J. Louis C. Parise Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., Farview and 41st Streets, Carbondale, with Pastor Wayne Wolfe, rector of the First Presbyterian Church of Carbondale, officiating. Interment, Canaan Corners Cemetery, Waymart, PA. Pallbearers: John Natichak, Eugene Natichak, Tom Tarchak, Matt Tarchak, Kevin Corrigan and Walter Curyk.
