Albert L. Watson, 84, of Union Dale, PA., died early Saturday morning, March 20, 2010 at home. His wife is the former Hildegard Odenwalder.
Born July 1, 1925 in South Abington, PA., he was the son of the late Roy and Sadie (Cooper) Watson.
He was a Marine Corp veteran serving during both World War II Korea. He was a member of the Clarks Summit VFW and enjoyed watching baseball, wrestling and boxing on television. He was also a Golden Gloves Champion while serving in the military. He had a green thumb and enjoyed gardening.
He is survived by two sons: Albert R. Watson and wife Elly of Philadelphia, PA. and Richard V. Watson of Lenoxville, PA.; one grandson: Albert E. Watson of Philadelphia, PA.; several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by three brothers: David, Nelson and Ernie Watson; one sister: Helen Mosley.
A memorial service, with military honors was held Wednesday, March 24, 2010 at 10:00 AM in the Shifler-Parise Funeral Home Cremation Services, 18 Airport Road, Clifford, PA., with Pastor Peg Knapich, pastor of the Clifford Lenoxville United Methodist Churches, officiating. Cremation took place at the Maple Hill Crematory, Archbald, PA.
