Albert D. Verboys, 65, of Union Dale, PA, died Thursday morning, July 9, 2015 at Post Acute Medical Specialty Hospital, Scranton, PA. Born April 25, 1950 in Carbondale, PA, he was the son of Eleanor Andzulis Verboys of Union Dale and the late Frank Robert Verboys. Albert was a graduate of Forest City High School and attended Ascension of Our Lord Parish in Forest City, PA. Prior to his retirement, Albert was a life long dairy farmer who was passionate about farming and animals. He is survived by two children: Sara Conklin and husband Jeff of Susquehanna, PA and Adam Verboys of Philadelphia, PA; two sisters: Beverly Bennett and husband Donald of Herrick Center, PA and Maryann Durko-McCusker and husband James of Union Dale, PA; 3 grandchildren; nephews and nieces: Donald Bennett and wife Kathy, Jean Marie Yadlosky and husband Tim, Sharon Bennett and Lori Demas and husband Dave; great nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a brother: Robert Frank Verboys; a brother-in-law: Thomas Durko. The funeral was held Tuesday, July 14, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. from the Shifler-Parise Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 18 Airport Road, Clifford, PA, with a blessing service officiated by Rev. Patrick L. Albert. Interment, Lyon Street Cemetery, Union Dale, PA. Pallbearers: Donald R. Bennett, Donald F. Bennett, Ryan Bennett, Adam Verboys, Jeff Conklin and Tyler Yadlosky.
